As a global brand that takes into account every market that it operates in, the Halal concept has been an integral part of McDonald's Malaysia's identity since the very beginning. Our commitment to Halal compliance in fact saw us becoming the first Quick Service Restaurant operator in the country to be awarded with the Halal certificate by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) in 1995.
McDonald’s takes the matter of food quality very seriously and it’s implemented throughout the supply chain. All our products are produced with the strictest compliance to standards set by the authorities on all matters including Halal sensitivities, hygiene and safety. In MIHAS 2017, we are joined by the our business partners - MacFood, Dindings, Aryzta and Kerry who shares common objectives, values and Halal commitment with McDonald’s.
MATRADE has been instrumental in projecting the country’s expertise in the Halal field onto the international stage. They have contributed to the growing understanding and acceptance of Halal certifications as well as the development of the country’s Halal products, financial and logistical services.
MIHAS is a brilliant platform to engage customers from all over the world who are interested in the Halal platform. It allows McDonald’s Malaysia to connect, exchange experiences, highlight achievements and learn best practises from other Halal players.
