Puan Zurairah : a teacher, a role model, a friend, a sister, and a mother to all. She has been my English teacher for the past 2 years. To me, not only is she just a teacher, she is like a friend. Her positive aura emits a special energy that makes everyone around her smile. Puan Zurairah has given me the confidence that I never knew I had within me. I still remember the first time we met, it was my first day entering the morning session of secondary school. She asked the whole class to introduce themselves one by one and asked us what we were good at. After that, she introduced herself. I couldn't lie, I was scared of what she said. Those words are still clear in my memory, "Good morning, I am Puan Zurairah, I am good at pinching people". I sat there in shock and silence for the rest of the class. Now, when I remember that incident, I couldn't help but to laugh at myself, thinking 'How can this jolly, child-like teacher do any harm'. How silly was I to be afraid of her pinches. Her style of teaching is what I admire the most. Simple, fun, stress-free, yet powerful, informative and useful. I still remember how I anticipated her class everyday. Even now when she's no longer teaching me English, I anticipate participating in extra co-curricular activities involving her. Just last year, when Puan Zurairah noticed my potential in writing essays, she encouraged me to join an essay writing competition held by the Institution of Engineers Malaysia. To my surprise I won second place and was able to make everyone around me proud. Without her, I wouldn't even give it a try because in my world, I'm nothing special. Puan Zurairah showed me my potential and helped mold me to the person I am today. Therefore, I would like to thank her for all she's done for me through this essay and hopefully we will have a better teacher-student relationship or even better yet, become the best of friends after my secondary school years end. This year, I will be stepping foot into SPM, and with the knowledge she gave me, I am confident to get an A or even better, an A+ for English. Although she isn't teaching me English this year, I know she is supporting me in the shadows because deep down, I know she loves all her students as if their her own children. I could never do enough to repay what she's did for me. Puan Zurairah, Thank you so much for being a part of my life and supporting me. Without you I would never be able to enjoy studying or even school in general. I wish you the best of health and I hope you live a long, happy, enjoyable life. I'm not good at expressing myself physically, nor am I good at cheesy, mushy talk. But with all my heart, I love you and thank you for being the role model I needed♡♥♡♥♡
