I was inspired by my own tutor. Cikgu Azim is a final year (Science with Education) student in University Malaya. He does personal tutoring and he is also a volunteer teacher in Ngos like Projek Iqra’ where they teach the underprivilleged students. He’s passion in teaching is on a whole other level. He’s dedication is top notch. I was inspired because of his effort in helping his students succeed. One month before SPM, I was no where near ready. Realising that, he made me a self-study timetable for me to follow. To make sure I was discipline with the timetable, He bought extra exercise books for all the subjects I am taking and would check it everyday. Even though he was just tutoring me with Physics and Chemistry. Besides that, having several experiences with tutors, Cikgu Azim is a teacher with his own principle. During classes, he would stay on untill I understand the chapter. By right, our tuition session was only 2-hours per session. But he would stay on untill late night without any extra charges for almost every session. During his Sem-breaks, he would come all the way from Semenyih to Petaling Jaya everynight with his motorcycle for tuition. Never once did he complain or ask for a pay raise. I am inspired because of his sincerity and passion in educating and education.
